Pregnancy resource center supplies and pro-life donation resources

Pregnancy Resource Center Projects!

Gathering Resources for Donations

We have some big things coming up with The Lifeguard Initiative over the next couple of months, and we want to get more people involved. Our biggest current project is a fundraiser for baby supplies and material support for pregnancy resource centers here in Utah that need more resources.

Having donated to these groups in the past, we have seen that even a little bit helps. Hopefully, this time, we can provide much more than just a little.

We coordinate most of our organization’s activities through Discord, so if you would like to get more involved, feel free to join our server.

Supporting the Fetal Remains Bill

Testimony, Letters, and Legislative Advocacy

The Lifeguard Initiative has worked to support legislation requiring the respectful disposition of fetal remains, including efforts surrounding Utah’s S.B. 67, Disposition of Fetal Remains.

As part of this effort, Lifeguard members contacted state senators, submitted letters of support, prepared prewritten messages for others to send, and pressed legislators to take the issue seriously. Our goal was simple: to ensure that the bodies of unborn children would not be treated as medical waste, but handled with dignity through proper burial, cremation, or other respectful means.

Members of The Lifeguard Initiative also gave testimony before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, urging lawmakers to support the bill and recognize the importance of giving families a say in how fetal remains are handled after abortion or miscarriage.

This work in Utah was part of a broader effort to support similar pro-life legislative projects in other states. Through testimony, public advocacy, letter-writing, and direct outreach to lawmakers, The Lifeguard Initiative has sought to help advance policies that defend the dignity of human life both before and after birth.

Advocacy Matters

Legislative change does not happen on its own. It requires people willing to write, testify, organize, and show up when it matters.

March for Life!

Utah March for Life Was a Huge Success

Though we were prohibited from marching, thousands of people still made their way down to the Capitol this year for the annual March for Life in vehicles as part of a car parade.

In total, more than 500 cars ended up at the rally, including several from The Lifeguard Initiative bearing our flags. We are proud that we were able to bring so many people together, and even more proud that so many Utahns gathered to support the cause of life.

Lifeguard Rally at the University of Utah

Rallies and the Coming March for Life

The Lifeguard Initiative saw a strong turnout at the Pence-Harris vice presidential debate, and we are hoping our on-the-ground activists can show up in equal numbers this January for the March for Life.

As many of you know, the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. was shut down and will sadly not be happening this year. However, rallies will still continue in most states.

Lifeguard leadership will be attending the Utah March for Life this year, and everyone is welcome to come down to the Capitol with us. Our groups will also be attending marches in other states, so do not miss out on meeting up with them if you get the chance.

In preparation for the coming legislative session in most states, we are partnering with other pro-life groups to help create content for their organizations and inform people in key battleground areas. We can use all the manpower we can get, so do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to get involved.
